Proposals for holiday entertainment on Council land during December and January in the Kouga region are being awaited.
This includes the towns of Jeffreys Bay, St Francis Bay, Humansdorp and elsewhere in the Kouga.
Individuals and organisations, including churches, who are interested in using Council land to present recreational activities for the public during the summer holiday season (1 December 2011 to 31 January 2012) have until noon on Friday, 2 September 2011, to submit their proposals.
Acting Municipal Manager Jabu Ngcayisa said proposals should include the location and size of the land required. It should also specify whether a municipal hall is required.
He stressed that the proposals were strictly for holiday activities and that proposals for the selling of fast food would not be considered.
Enquiries may be directed to Tertius Snyders at 042 200 2159 during office hours.
Written proposals must be deposited in the municipal tender box at the municipal offices at Da Gama Road, Jeffreys Bay, by noon on Friday, September 2.
The Council reserves the right to grant or refuse any application.
