Jens Leunberg, the man suspected of killing Jeffreys Bay businessman Claus Schroeder in 2009, will remain behind bars after his bail application was denied.
Schroeder was last seen alive when visiting the farm where Leunberg and his girlfriend, Krissi Adler were living.
Adler was released on bail of R 20 000 and is now in a psychiatric institution in Port Elizabeth after refusing to adhere to a court order, forcing her to leave the farm in Thornhill where her and Leunberg resided.
The Schroeder family are hoping that the murder accused will show investigators where they hid the body of Schroeder after a long wait of over two years for some answers.
The next court date for the trial will be on 25 November.
