The second suspect in the murder of beloved school teacher Jayde Panayiotou was denied bail today in Port Elizabeth .
Christopher Panayiotou, 28, the husband of the victim, appeared in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s Court and was charged with conspiracy to commit murder, kidnapping, robbery with aggravating circumstances and murder.
The case has been remanded to 19 June 2015 and Panayiotou will remain in custody until then.
A third suspect, a 30 year old male was arrested yesterday in New Brighton Port Elizabeth and he will appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s court tomorrow.
This brings the total number of suspects arrested so far in the case, to three.
The first suspect arrested, Thando Siyoli appeared in court last week Thursday and his case has been remanded to the 7th of May 2015.
The investigation team is working around the clock and more arrested are not excluded.
