Three members of the Jeffreys Bay Police were honoured for their excellent work during a joint meeting of all the police stations in the Kouga on Wednesday in Humansdorp.
Brigadier Neil Jantjies of the Humansdorp Cluster congratulated the following members:
Warrant Officer Johnny Hayward who made three arrests within 24 hours for a house robbery in Jeffreys Bay. Hayward also found back all the stolen items.
Detective Warrant Officer Eunice Potgieter for the investigation of a rape case which occurred during 2008 in which the suspect received an effective sentence of 15 years imprisonment.
Potgieter was also honoured for the investigation of a house robbery which occurred in 2008 in which the accused was sentenced to 21 years imprisonment.
Constable Martin Bell of the Jeffreys Bay Detectives was congratulated for making the most arrests and sending the most cases to court for the month of September 2011.
