The 2011 Shell Festival is shaping up to be one of the best in many years. There are a whole lot of new innovations including a Dive Festival, a national Volleyball tournament and the Miss Earth beauty pageant.
Miss Earth Eastern Cape will be crowned during the Shell Festival and entries are now open for young women who aspire to be Miss Earth – a beauty pageant with a difference.
“Miss Earth South Africa is a programme that aims to empower young South African women with the knowledge and platform to create a sustainable difference in our plight to combat the destruction of our natural heritage” says Catherine Constantinides the National Director.
“The event helps create awareness of our environment, wildlife and the conservation of our natural legacy in South Africa.”
“Our aim is to promote peace, respect and humility towards one another. By so doing we free ourselves to take on the responsibilities we face as human beings” added Constantindes.
Entry for Miss Earth is open to women between the ages of 18 – 26 and the entry form can be found here
