The Community Police Forum in St Francis Bay will hold a Peace Parade to demonstrate their support for strong policing in the area and to enable the people of Sea Vista to unite against criminals operating in the community.
Mr Peel Leen has invited various organisations to support the march including sports organisations, church’s and business as well as individual residents.
The march will take place on 8 August at 11 am from the Sea Vista Sports Field.
Peel said that it will be a fun parade with a serious purpose that will include residents and families and will promote the good people within our village and our fight against crime and drugs”
Parade participants will carry banners and placards in support of various causes and the best or most appropriate design will win a prize for their organisation. This has been donated by a local business.
The parade will walk around the main roads of Sea Vista and return to the sports field for speeches by local dignitaries and Community Police Liaison Warrant Officer Hardus Van Heerden.
The acting Station Commander, Captain J Du Toit fully supports this march as does Kouga Municipality who are providing Traffic police to ensure a safe route.
“Crime thrives when the good people of a community do nothing” says John Hammond of the CPF St Francis Bay,
The people of Sea Vista are saying enough is enough.
