Four suspects have been arrested after the body of a 60 year old woman was found in her house on a farm just outside Rust de Winter.
The body of 60-year-old Lynette Pamela Lavender was found in her home last week Thursday when her neighbour realised that something was wrong after seeing an unknown man driving her vehicle away from her house.
He went to investigate and found her body lying on the bed in her bedroom. It would seem as if she had been stabbed several times with a sharp object.
The woman stayed alone in the house on the smallholding and it is still not clear whether anything else had been taken from the house following the attack.
Following intensive investigations by the detectives from the Rust de Winter police station, four suspects were arrested at Mabopane and the stolen vehicle was recovered in their possession.
One of the suspects had been in her employ as a gardener for a short period.
The suspects are due to appear in the Bela Bela Magistrates’ Court on Monday afternoon on charges of murder and theft of vehicle.
