With 28 DJ’s and 25 bands playing over the three day event, the 2012 rendition of the 5 FM music festival is already adding immense value to the Billabong Pro surf contest.
There are some rain predictions for the weekend and the organisers will be erecting a tent to ensure the party will continue with bands like Hard-Fi set to pump on Saturday and internationally renowned DJ Patrick Hagenaar will be rocking the crowd together with the 5FM jocks.
There are some big names that have been signed for next years 5FM music festival but organiser Lloyd Cornwall is playing his cards close to his chest.
“We are looking at growing the 5FM music festival over the next few years and will be bringing out some top acts who will be playing a once off gig in Jeffreys Bay,” said Cornwall.
“So if fans want to see their favourite artists play, they will have to come to Jeffreys Bay as there will not be concerts in Johannesburg and Cape Town”, he added.
Tickets for the 5 FM Music Festival are available through Computicket and free camping facilities are available on a first come – first served basis.
