Surfers from all over South Africa descended upon Jeffreys Bay over the past few days to ride the latest swell to hit the perfectly formed reef at Supertubes.
Locals were joined by World Surf League campaigner Jordy Smith as days of constant surf pounded the Jeffreys Bay coastline.
A young surfer from Durban Kai Hall held his own in the big Supertubes barrels and managed to catch quite a few waves in the crowded line up.

Kai was joined in the intimidating Supertubes lineup by local surfers such as Mikey Meyer who was also getting barreled wave after wave.

The standout surfer was undoubtedly Jordy Smith, who is ranked number four on the WSL World Tour after his recent win at Tresles. Should Jordy get a result or two in Europe, he will definitely be in line to become the World Surf Champion in 2016.

Local surfers were incensed by the disrespect shown by an out of town photographer who entered the Supertubes line up on a jet ski to take photos.
Jet skis are only allowed in the surf zones upon application to the Kouga Council during surf events for safety reasons.
