A man from Port Elizabeth was shot and killed in Pellsrus in the early hours of Sunday morning, according to the South African Police.
W/O Gerda Swart said that a group of five men were walking down Duine Avenue in Pellrus at around 1:30 am on Sunday morning, when an unknown man approached them and fired several shots.
A 24 year old man was fatally injured during the attack.
“The suspect fled the scene and no arrests have been made as yet. The Jeffreys Bay Police are investigating a case of murder,” said Swart.
The name of the victim will be released after a formal identification has been made.
A tragedy occurred in Patensie when the two children, aged two and five years old, were fatally killed after their informal home in Prins Street caught fire in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Neighbours tried to put out the fire but could not save the children.
Police have opened an Inquest.
