Poachers have struck again at Lombardini Game Farm just outside Jeffreys Bay and killed another Rhino on Friday night.

This follows an earlier incident when a Rhino cow and its calf where shot and killed on the Game Farm
Rhino poaching is continuing unabated in South Africa and our neighbouring countries, despite serious efforts to curtail the scourge that is afflicting the remaining Rhino populations in Africa.
“By the end of April 2015 the number of rhino we lost to poachers was 393 for the whole country,” Environment Minister Edna Molewa told a press conference in Pretoria, adding that 290 of them were poached in the Kruger National Park.
The figure is a more than 18 percent increase over the first four months of 2014, when 331 rhinos were poached including 212 in Kruger, she said.
1 215 Rhino were killed in South Africa during 2014. To illustrate just how dire the situation is, in 2007, a mere 13 Rhino were killed in South Africa.
