One woman, 58, a Dutch tourist, was found safe on the beach after reportedly being rescued from the surf by a bystander and a search commenced for the other woman 65, also a Dutch tourist.

During the search, the body of the woman was located approximately 300 meters off-shore and recovered onto the sea rescue craft where CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) efforts were commenced by NSRI medics.

However, upon arrival at the NSRI sea rescue base, a doctor declared the female deceased.
