The stark reality of the impact an oil spill has along the South African coast.
The oil spill from the Kiani Satu took its toll on our wildlife. An oil soaked juvenile African Penguin seen here is awaiting feeding and cleaning at SANCCOB Cape St Francis.
Founded in 1968, SANCCOB (The Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds) has treated over 95 000 seabirds.
The photograph was taken by St Francis Bay photographer Clive Wright.
