Swimming from Robben Island to Cape Town is an extreme adventure that not many human beings are capable of achieving.

Swimmers have to dodge big container ships, are hammered by wind whipped seas, buzzed by seals and have to deal with seriously cold water – wearing nothing but a speedo and a swim cap.

Kendal Wright (15 yrs old) from St Francis Bay joined the elite band of ocean warriors who have completed the swim when he did the Robben Island to Blouberg crossing in 2 hours 55 minutes earlier this week.
