The 5fm Music Festival set to rock JBay during the Billabong Pro is going to be to the biggest party the town has ever seen.
Just having Prime Circle and British band Hard-Fi gracing the stage would be enough the justify the claim as JBay gets ready to welcome 10 000 people from all over the world who will be descending on the town to party with DJ’s like Patrick Hagenaar, who is one of the biggest DJ’s in Europe.
Ministy of Sound will play at the 5FM Music Festival 2012 in a separate dance arena, giving festival goers the option of world class dance or take in the bands like Taxi Violence, Mi Casa, Flash Republic and even party with the 5FM Dj’s who are also in town to broadcast live from the Billabong Pro contest site.
The line up at the 5 FM Music Festival is nothing short of world class and will last for 3 days. It is the biggest concert ever in the Eastern Cape and will undoubtedly be the biggest party Jeffreys Bay has ever seen.
Lloyd Cornwell from Massive is putting the whole show together with full support from the Jeffreys Bay community as well as the Kouga Council, and with sponsors like Nissan Juke, the Festival has the potential to grow to Glastonbury proportions with the best bands and DJ’s in the world coming to JBay and nowhere else in South Africa for a on once gig.
“We are very excited about the 5 FM Music Festival and are proud to be bringing a world class line up to Jeffreys Bay”, said Cornwell.
“There are 60 different bands and DJ’s here for the 3 days and we will get the music pumping as soon as the day’s surfing is done at the Billabong Pro.”
The official closing party for the Billabong Pro will end the weekend which is being held at Mentors Kraal. Festival goers will get to party with pro surfers like Jordy Smith, the winner of the JBay Billabong Pro 2011.
Jordy will be keen to make it a hat trick of wins at this year’s Billabong Pro in Jeffreys Bay and if he does, the vibe will be awesome as South Africa will celebrate another home town victory.
