A series of cold fronts that have been hanging just off the coast of South Africa have pushed in some swell that has seen Supertubes break fairly consistently for the pre winter surf season.

Sunny days and some cold water have added to the mix that has been enjoyed by locals and visiting surfers alike. Supertubes can often just not break at all during March and all bodes well for a great winter.

With all the controversy raging over the downgraded Billabong Pro in Jeffreys Bay, the surfers kept it real with some solid performances in the water – where it counts.

After one of the most epic winters in a long time last year, all the signs are there that 2012 is going to see freight train walls rocking down the point in Jeffreys Bay.
