South Africa’s Cameron Van Der Burgh came 3rd in the 100 m breaststroke at the FINA World Swimming Championships currently being held in Shanghai, China.
Van Der Burgh is the World record holder in the 50 m breaststroke and swam a strong first lap in the 100m, turning in second position. The race was won by Alexander Oen from Norway with Fabio Skozzoli finishing in second position.

Veteran Roland Schoeman failed to make the final for the 50 m Butterfly and had to settle for 9th place in the semi finals in a time of 23.48.
