Local surfers Dylan & Steven rock in Billabong Pro Junior

Chad du Toit won the Billabong Pro Junior men’s title at Herold’s Bay today, defeating Nick Godfrey (Cape St Francis) in powerful 3 -4 foot surf that provided the country’s best 20-and-under surfers with excellent opportunities to display their talents.

Matt Bromley and local surfer Steven Sawyer finished equal third at Herold’s Bay.

Dylan Lightfoot has impressed with his results in national surf contests.

Dylan Lightfoot surfing with a dodgy knee took the runner-up spot in the U/16 division ahead of an exhausted Steven Sawyer, who had just exited the water after his Pro Junior semifinal loss.

” I hurt my knee and had to surf with a brace on which limited me quite severely”, said Dylan. “So I am stoked with the result and am going to get my knee right now”.
