Doctors forced to amputate Allistair’s leg

Allistair Glenn who was involved in a horrific road accident with a security company vehicle in Da Gama Road on Friday is still undergoing operations in a Port Elizabeth hospital.  After exhausting all attempts to save Allistair’s leg and after lengthy consultations, the doctors had to amputate his leg below the knee. Allistair came through the operation well and is regarded as being stable.

It is hoped that Allistair, who will be turning 18 years old tomorrow will be weaned of the ventilator and start breathing by himself shortly. A friend close to the Glenn family has requested that people pray for the family and for Allistair in particular during this traumatic time.

The Jeffreys Bay detectives are investigating a case of reckless and negligent driving.
