Three incidents have been reported to JBay News of women being robbed on the beach.
In one instance, two women were robbed of their phones and cash by suspected street children on Main Beach. This occurred around 11 am in the morning.
A tourist was robbed at knife point and a bag containing cash and a cell phone was taken from her, also in the beachfront area.
Just before that incident, a tourist staying at a local backpacker was robbed by three men while walking along the beach to go to the shops.
The Point car park has also been targeted by criminals, with a local resident taking video footage of a thief trying to break into cars at the popular surf break.
According to the resident, three cars were broken into at Point during the past month.
