The Humansdorp Police acted swiftly and made two arrests following the murder of a woman in the town over the weekend.
The Provincial Commissioner Lt Gen Celiwe Binta commended Humansdorp detectives for solving the murder of the 45 year old mother.
“ This case was solved within days after the murder was committed as a result of dedication to task by the detectives and the use of tested investigation techniques,” said General Binta.
This comes after detectives arrested two male suspects aged 26 and 49 years for the murder of Roseline Bosman.
Her body was discovered in her house in Booyse Street, Arcadia, Humansdorp on Saturday 12 September 2015 at about 6:45 am.
It is alleged that her children went to her room and saw her lying on her bed. They suspected something was wrong and called the Police.
Detectives immediately started their investigation which led them to Hankey where a 26 year old suspect was arrested and found in possession of personal items of the deceased.
After the first suspect was arrested and questioned , a second male suspect (49 years old) was arrested in the early hours of yesterday morning, also in Hankey.
The motive of the murder is not known at this stage but more arrests in connection with the case are imminent.
The names of suspects will be released as soon as they have appeared in the Humansdorp Magistrate’s Court.
