JBay is buzzing with WinterFest fever at the moment with restaurants reporting their establishments are busy and accommodation is hard to find along the beach front.
The JBU Surf Club and the Supertubes Surfing Foundation have done Jeffreys Bay proud by bringing the World Championship Tour back to town and for also creating a extreme sports festival during July.
If you not taking part in the highly popular Sokkie Jol, or riding your mountain bike through the Jeffreys Bay farmlands or taking on the icy 12 C water of Marina Martinique in just a speedo, then make sure you have your camera with to capture all the action.
Share your photo on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and tag with #jbaywinterfest to stand a chance to win daily prizes and a grand prize of R7500 cash.
“We are running a social photography competition and are looking for your photographs of the action, lifestyle or anything that you think reflects the sports, culture and life of Jeffreys Bay,” said Koffie Jacobs, the organiser of the Winterfest.
“Photos must be taken over the period of the JBay WinterFest (10-20 July). The photographs don’t have to be professional. They can be taken on your phone or a top of the range SLR if you prefer. Its your call,’ added Jacobs.
