Both Gabriel Jewellers and JBay News are excited to be supporters of the Trans Baviaans 24 hour Mountain Bike Marathon, the toughest single stage race in the world.
230 km of the most breathe taking scenery through the famed Baviaanskloof, followed by some hard riding after dark to get to the finish at the Fountains Mall in Jeffreys Bay will test even the fittest of riders.
“The Trans Baviaans has 1 350 entrants and after the JBay Winterfest, is the biggest event that takes place in Jeffreys Bay,” said Gabriel Van Eeden, from event sponsor Gabriel Jewellers.
“Together with Citizen Watches, we are proud to be a sponsor of the Trans Baviaans and Gabriel Jewellers will be giving away a Citizen Eco Drive ladies watch to the value of R 3 499 to a reader of JBay News,” added Van Eeden.
The competition will take place on the JBay News Face book page.

The competition is open to men as well, who stand a chance of winning a special watch for the special lady in their lives.
The Citizen Eco Drive watch started with a simple, yet revolutionary concept; a timepiece that never needs a battery change.
Citizen Eco Drive technology harnesses the power of light – from any natural or artificial light source – and converts it into energy which is stored in an Eco Drive energy cell.
It recharges continuously in any kind of light to run forever.
The winner will be announced on JBay News next week.
