The growing population of Humpback Whales off the South African coast near Cape St Francis is indicative that our ocean waters are alive and teeming with life. 

Occasionally there will be an incident like we had in Cape St Francis where a whale will wash up on the shore with no visible injury on it. 

Fishermen report that just about every trip out to sea they will witness whales frolicking and feeding, making the trip just that more interesting.

 

One wonders what effect a nuclear power station will have with all that warm water being pumped out to sea will have on the South African whale populations.
