Brazen thieves broke into a house in Noorsekloof Road around 8.30 am on Tuesday, despite there being plenty of traffic and activity at that time of the morning.
The thieves set off the alarm, but had left the house within minutes of breaking in.
Three security company vehicles were quickly on the scene but did not manage to catch the criminals.
According to W/O Seekoei from the South African Police, the Jeffreys Bay Detectives are investigating a case of housebreaking and theft.
“It is believe that the suspects forced a window open to gain entrance. Electrical equipment was stolen and no arrests has been made yet,” said Seekoei.
Another housebreaking in Mike Herold Street was reported to JBay News. Apparently the incident took place last week.
Mike Herold Street is very close to the house in Noorsekloof Road that was burgled on Tuesday.
