The Demarcation Board will present their proposals for ward changes in the Kouga today in Humansdorp.
The meeting takes place at 10 am at the Kouga Cultural Centre and all residents are invited to attend.
Some startling changes have been proposed by the Demarcation Board, amongst them being that Paradise Beach will form part of the St Francis Bay Ward, while Aston Bay will be joined with Ocean View in Jeffreys Bay.
Sea Vista will form part of the Oyster Bay ward, while relatively minor changes have been proposed for the other wards in Kouga.
The next local government election will take place in 2016 and Kouga is regarded as a strategic Municipality by both the ANC as well as the Democratic Alliance.
At present, the ANC controls the Kouga Municipality by 15 seats to the 14 of the DA.
