Swimarathon in JBay tomorrow

Jessica Roux marinaJoin the World’s largest Swimarathon as Jeffreys Bay swimmers take to the water at Marina Martinique tomorrow morning.

The Rotary Global Swimarathon took place in Jeffreys Bay on the 25th February 2012 as part of a worldwide event in setting a new record in the Guiness Book of Record for the number of swimmers swimming simultaneously for one hour throughout the world.

To raise much needed funds for the eradication of polio the Rotary Global Swimarathon intends having groups of swimmers swimming for an hour over a period of 24hours throughout the world on the 23rd February 2013.

The Rotary Club of Jeffreys Bay will participate in this venture. The time slot of 08h00/09h00 during the 24 hour period has been selected.

Distance – 40M or 100M
Cost – Children R20 Adults – R50.00

The venue is the old Shark Aquarium at the world class open water swim venue of Marina Martinique.
