While many coastal towns latch their doors and board up their windows for a long winter slumber, Jeffreys Bay opted to crank up the volume and throw a massive party instead.
Following a very successful inaugural event last year, 2014′s JBay Winter Fest is going bigger. The return of the WCT World Championship Tour will bring the world’s top 34 surfers back to Jeffreys Bay’s famous right-hand break — Supertubes.
While the action packed days are set to scatter spectators across the beaches and streets of the fair coastal town, all roads will lead to the Jolly Dolphin after sunset.
Jolly Dolphin, known for it’s huge in-season parties, is a 1 500-capacity venue and will host a blistering lineup of bands and DJs including:
A King, Van Coke Cartel, PHFat, Jack Parrow, The Parlotones, The Lucas Reunion, Jeremy Loops, 7th Son, Taxi Violence
DJ Naaldekoker is confirmed to be hovering around the decks and will be joined by local turn-tablers and knob twiddlers to keep the party pumping.
“This time of year the place is just insane!” these are the words of Louise Nel, drummer for incendiary rockers Taxi Violence.
Jeffreys Bay is affectionately called their home away from home, as the band stops by every time they go on a national tour.
