The two men who earlier this month raped an American women near Storms River, have been sentenced to life imprisonment.
The 47 year-old woman was jogging in the Tsitsikamma area, Storms River, when she was approached by two unknown men who overpowered and raped her.
Swift reaction by members from Storms River Police led to the arrest of the two suspects within hours after the rape was reported.
The two accused appeared in the Storms River Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 24 June 2015 and both pleaded guilty.
Accused one, Juame Thorne (26) was found guilty on two counts of rape and accused two, Luwayne De Wee (25) was found guilty on a charge of rape.
Both the accused were sentenced last Friday, 26 June 2015 in the Storms River Magistrate’s Court to life imprisonment.
