The beautiful town of Jeffreys Bay will become the thumping heart of this year’s summer season in the Eastern Cape. The Jeffreys Bay Summer Beach Festival will kick off on the 16th of December with a parade that will lead to Dolphin Beach and the opening ceremony and welcome party.
A flea market showcasing local products, food and beverage and kids corner with centre stage for light entertainment will be run daily. Beach activities include Volleyball and Netball Tournaments, Soccer, Touch Rugby, Beach Marathon, Mr. Muscle Beach, Mr. & Miss Jeffreys Bay, Sky Diving, Fun Fair as well as the annual Swimming Plus Marina Mile which takes place on 22 and 23 december at Marina Martinique.
The focus of the 2012 Summer Beach Festival will be on fun in the sun with emphasis on family entertainment and branding Jeffreys Bay as a top holiday destination in South Africa.
The Magna Tubes Beach area will be housed with a Marquee Beer Tent with local artists and DJ’s entertaining visitors and a local trade market throughout the festival. Dolphin Beach will have a buzzing flee-market, back to back sporting events and tournaments.
