President Jacob Zuma has appointed six judges to some of the superior courts of South Africa.
Two will fill vacancies in the Supreme Court of Appeal and four vacancies at the country’s High Courts.
Among those appointed include Nambitha Dambuza and Rammaka Steven Mathopo as Judges of the Supreme Court of Appeal, Bloemfontein. Their appointment is with effect from Monday.
Achmat Naaim Jappie was appointed as the Judge President of the KwaZulu-Natal Division of the High Court, Pietermaritzburg, while Justice Ephraim Mampuru Makgoba as Judge President of the Limpopo Division of the High Court, Polokwane.
Gerald Hercules Bloem is the new Judge of the Eastern Cape Division of the High Court, Grahamstown, while Selby Mfanelo Mbenenge will be the new Judge of the Eastern Cape Division of the High Court, Bhisho.
