The community of Cape St Francis is shocked at the passing of the Eastern Cape manager of Sanccob, Wilna Wilkinson.
Wilna was killed in a head on collision on the N2 near Bloukrans early on Tuesday morning.
Police spokesperson, Warrant officer O Basil Seekoei, says Wilkinson died at the scene.
She was travelling to Cape Town when the accident happened near Bloukrans Village.
Sanccob issued the following statement:
“It is with the deepest sadness that we have to share the news that our beloved colleague Wilna Wilkinson passed away in a car accident yesterday.
Wilna (36 years old) has been the Rehabilitation Manager at SANCCOB St Francis facility since April 2013 when SANCCOB took over the reins from Penguins Eastern Cape.
Wilna brought out the best in people and her caring nature made her many friends in the local community and within the penguin fraternity. Wilna may you Rest in Peace and may light perpetual shine upon you.
