Barely two weeks ago a fund raiser was started to help Reece Smit raise the R 350 000 needed to undergo the bone marrow transplant that will save his life.

This morning it was confirmed that R 303 000 has already been donated by not only the Jeffreys Bay community, but from people all over the world.

Reece left for Cape Town today for further tests and mom Vicky has said that it will be a tough time for Reece. “As a family we want to thank everyone who has helped by doing fund raising and also a big thank you to all the amazing people who have given money to save our boy’s life. Words cannot describe how we feel right now”.

“Please pray for Reece as the tests are not anything a little boy should have to go through but they are necessary”, added Vicky.

Requests have been received from people that are overseas for the ABSA swift code. Apparently you need this code when transferring into an ABSA account. The code is as follows: ABSAJJCPE
If people are still experiencing problems transferring, please leave a message and we will try to help.

There is only R47 000.00 now needed to achieve the goal of R 350 000. Reece is going to get his shot at life!
