Library books issued before 4 November  at Jeffreys Bay must be returned before the end of the month.

This is the urgent appeal from Jeffreys Bay Library staff as they finalise the switch over to the new Brocade computer system.

Fines on late books will also be scrapped until the end of November to ensure people have no reason to hold on to books and delay the implementation of the new system.

Kouga Executive Mayor Booi Koerat said the new system would improve library services to residents.

“Library members can look forward to being able to link straight to the library’s catalogue from their home internet, so that they can see which books are available,” he said.
