In the 1980’s Mark Occhilupo defined how Supertubes should be surfed backhand. Occy blasted 8 foot Supers back in 1984, and forever became synonymous with high performance surfing in Jeffreys Bay.
Tom Curren visited Jeffreys Bay in the early 1990’s and his flowing style of surfing suited the long lines of Supertubes perfectly.
Then came Kelly Slater, who rates Jeffreys Bay as one of his favourite places to visit in the world.
