Jens Leunberg, the man who stands accused of murdering Jeffreys Bay businessman Claus Schroeder was denied bail when he appeared in court yesterday.
The case has been postponed to Monday when the next bail hearing will take place.
Schroeder disappeared in 2009 and was last seen on a farm in Thornhill where Leunberg was living. After a two year investigation the South African Police arrested both Leunberg and his girlfriend Krissi Adler.
Leunberg evaded the Police for nearly two weeks after a warrant of arrest was issued for him. He eventually handed himself over to the Police after a manhunt along the southern coast from Jeffreys Bay to Cape Town took place.
Schroeder leaves behind a wife and two boys, who still live in Jeffreys Bay.
