A 21 year-old woman, Rina Pietersen, has been denied bail in the Hankey magistrates court in connection with a double murder that shocked the small town recently.
Four other suspects, all men, also appeared in court on Wednesday and abandoned their bid for bail.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer, Basil Seekoei, says two other male suspects arrested in connection with the killings previously also abandoned their bid for bail.
Police arrested the suspects after the bodies of 41-year-old Claudia Antonie and 6-year old Lukishia Plaatjies were found in a house in Rosedale last month.
Antonie had been stabbed to death while the child had been strangled.
Seekoei says two of the suspects Andrew and Elrico Plaatjies, both 23, are related to the victims.
All seven suspects will be back in court on the 18 of September.
