Jeffreys Bay has experienced a decrease in crime this week, following the armed robbery at the Billabong Factory Shop. Police are still investigating the case and have appealed to the public that if they are in possession of information regarding crime, to pass that information onto the senior management of the Police.

Housebreakings have taken place in Wavecrest with random areas of the suburb being targeted. However, in two instances, entry was gained through unlocked doors and the robberss literally just walked into the houses concerned.

There was some activity in Noorsekloof/Palm Cresent area last night but vigilant residents and patrolling Police deterred the suspects and managed to arrest one of them.

Generally September was a quiet month crime wise in Jeffreys Bay, with housebreakings remaining a problem.
