Dancers from Jeffreys Bay competed in the Port Elizabeth Dance Festival at the PE Savoy Theatre recently. The girls, aged 6 to14 years danced in both Modern and Ballet categories, performing solo dances and a group dance.

The group dance " Volkspele" who won a silver medal in a demanding category.

A total of 16 dancers entered and altogether picked up 7 golds, 19 silvers and 4 bronzes. Senior dancer Izelle van der Westhuizen performed 4 dances, and achieved two golds and two silvers in her U/12 modern and ballet dancers.

The girls all come from the Dance Dynamics studio in Jeffreys Bay that offers Ballet, Modern dance and Hip Hop. Head teacher Michel Maling says “We teach from tiny tots to advanced students and even adults. We do examinations in all three dance forms, the PE Dance festival, an annual show at the end of the year and Badge tests.”
