The Jeffreys Bay Detective branch is investigating a case of business robbery after the O’Chorros Restaurant was robbed by four suspects late on Saturday evening.
It is been alleged that the suspects entered O’Chorros armed with fire-arms and assaulted the workers and the owner. They fled the scene with a undisclosed amount of money and electrical goods in a stolen Chevrolet Spark.
The Jeffreys Bay Police alerted surrounding police stations after which a 23 year old male suspect was arrested in Port Elizabeth in the early hours of Sunday morning. The stolen vehicle was also recovered.
The suspect will appear in the Humansdorp Magistrates Court today on charges of Business Robbery, Theft of motor vehicle, Indecent assault Unlawful possession of a fire-arm, Unlawful possession of ammunition and Assault with the intent to commit grievous bodily harm.
The South African Police will oppose bail in court hearing.
