Husband arrested for the murder of Jayde Panayiotou

Eastern Cape police have arrested two suspects in connection with the abduction and murder of beloved teacher, Jayde Panayiotou.

Eye Witness News has reported that one of the suspects is Jayde’s husband, who was arrested last night in Uitenhage and will appear in court on Monday.

The other suspect, Thando Siyoli 31, was arrested during the week in Kwazakele Township in Port Elizabeth and he has appeared in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s court this morning. The case was remanded to the 7th of May 2015 and he will remain in custody until then.

There is a prima facie case against the two suspects and robbery has been ruled out as the motive for the murder.
