A well known business couple in Jeffreys Bay was woken up at 2 am on Sunday morning by housebreakers who proceeded to tie them up and their little son and robbed them of cell phones and cameras.
One of the suspects has been described as having two horizontal cuts marks on his right cheek and big lips whilst the other suspect was wearing a hoody with a honeycomb design on it. Apparently the first suspect is fluent in English.
Fortunately nobody was injured by the attackers who were armed with a knife and a screwdriver. Bad carpet burns on hands and faces are the injuries that were suffered by the traumatized family. Keeping calm in a dangerous situation is probably what saved them further assaults.
The Police were the first on the scene, followed by Smahrt Security. The Police Dog Unit tried to pick up the spoor of the suspects but at time of publishing had not yet apprehended the suspects. It is thought that they headed towards the golf course and managed to evade being caught by using the open spaces in Wavecrest.
The attack comes after numerous house breakings in the Wavecrest area and follows the theft of a bakkie in the top end of Wavecrest last weekend.
The house breakings are occurring all over Wavecrest and residents are urged to make sure they are secure when going to bed as most incidences are occurring at night.
