A late night return to Jeffreys Bay turned into a nightmare for a local woman when she was attacked after being dropped off by a travel bus at the Caltex garage in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The woman, in her early fifties was waiting for her lift near the Opstal townhouse complex when she was approached by two men who came from Nautilis Street in C-Place.

One of them asked her for the time and then she was attacked by the two men. During the attack, she was stabbed 3 times and her arm was broken when she tried to ward off the assailants.

Warrant Officer Petra Els from the Jeffreys Bay Police Station has requested that anybody who may have witnessed the brutal attack to contact the investigating officer Detective Constable Bell on 073 972 8443.
