Guns stolen in Jeffreys Bay house robbery

Three armed robbers broke into a house in Noorsekloof Street, Wavecrest at about 2 am this morning and overpowered the 74 year old owner and his wife.

The couple were then tied up and the thugs stole two fire arms out the safe – a pistol and a .22 rifle, according to Lieutenant Gerda Swart from the South African Police.

The thieves then left the house and the victims were able to call for help.

“No arrests have been made as yet but the Jeffreys Bay Police are following up on all possible leads,” said Lieutenant Swart.

A motor vehicle was also stolen in Jeffreys Bay last night and two businesses in the CBD were broken into as well.
