Gabriels Jewellers supports education in JBay

Mason Ranger and his fiancé Gloria Knaggs receive the R2 500.00 Citizen Watch Gift Voucher from Gabriel Van Eeden

During the recent GLA Trolley Race, JBay residents were given the opportunity to “donate a bag of cement” for the construction of the new high school facilities planned for Global Leadership Academy just adjacent to Fountains Mall.

Gabriel Jewellers further supported the cause by sponsoring a Citizen Gift Voucher to the value of R2500.00 for one lucky sponsor of a cement bag. Global Leadership Academy and Gabriel Jewellers would like to congratulate Mr Mason Ranger whose ticket was drawn in the lucky draw that followed.

Global Leadership Academy has launched the “Buy a Bag of Cement” project to create some fundraising momentum for the construction of their school. According to Ms McFarlane, the principal of Jeffreys Bay’s own High School, they aim to start construction on the foundations before the end of this year.

McFarlane She also said that the support and response from the local community has been very encouraging over the past few months and that they welcome any support for the building of the new high school in Jeffreys Bay, whether it is a bag of cement or even a few bricks.
