The Fountains Mall Rally will return to Jeffreys Bay on the 8 November 2014 as part of the Algoa Rally 50k challenge which is staged around the Eastern Cape.
This, the penultimate round, will have tar stages around Fountains Mall parking area with new challenges, including gravel stages, and the place to watch will be from the Spekboom Lapa.
Spectators are welcome to visit Fountains Mall on the 8 November where the rally cars will arrive at 8.00 am for documentation and the first car is expected to enter the Fountains Mall stage at 10 am.
The ARC 50k challenge is expected to be tough and championship contenders will be pushing to the limit to win the Gabriel Jewellers Tissot watches on offer for the first driver and navigator home.
Rally cars that fall out of the first few stages are allowed to repair and enter the second half under super rally rules and score half points. This also keeps the competitors in the rally instead of disappointment, should a car break down early in the rally.
The ARC 50k challenge is unique where competitors stand a chance to win prizes at the end of the year which consist of a new Volkswagen Polo rally car, partly assembled, and cash prizes for the runner-ups.
The organisers are expecting about 20 rally cars, including some from Natal, George and East London, who will challenge the local contingent with new rally cars consisting of Volkswagen Polos and upgraded Golfs, Datsuns, Nissan and Daewoo, in their respective classes of 2 Litres, 1600 & 1400cc, who all score the same points for class performance.

If you are looking for a sports buddy, the Tissot T-Race Touch is it!
Not only will you be proud to have the Tissot T-Race Touch by your side with its smooth style provided by a synthetic strap, but, it will also push you to go further, no matter what the sport of the day may be.
It will measure all your times and laps with its chronograph (add/split/lap) function, not letting you forget how far you need to go, yet giving you that boost by letting you know how far you have already come with its logbook function keeping track.
All that’s left for you to do is just go for it, and don’t worry, the compass function will make sure you never lose your way.
