Foreigners shot in Humansdorp robbery

The Humansdorp Police are investigating a case of Attempted Murder and Business Robbery after two foreign nationals were shot during a robbery of a spaza shop in Kruisrivier.

The crime occurred when two suspects entered the spaza at about 20:00 on 23 February.

It is alleged that the two suspects were armed with firearms and demanded money from the shop owner.

One of the foreigners who was standing outside, entered the shop and grabbed one of the suspects from behind which after shots were fired.

One of the foreigners was shot in the arm and the other one in the chest.

The suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and air time vouchers.

The South African Police cannot confirm that the firearms used in the crime are linked to those firearms that were stolen from the Humansdorp Police Station.
