The influence of the coach, former All Black flyhalf, Carlos Spencer, was evident as the Kings ran the ball from all areas of the field.

The crowd showed their appreciation for the return of Luke Watson to the Kings lineup.  Watson had been sidelined for a lengthy period due to an foot injury sustained in the Super 15 campaign.

Watson played a key role in the loose, was involved at the breakdown and crossed the Bulls tryline from a rolling maul to score for the Kings.  Watson was substituted at half time, after a solid display in the first half.

The Kings can be pleased with their attacking performance, but the defence needs to be properly organised as the Bulls were able to add 28 points in defeat.
