Ms Peters will meet with the Kouga Councillors tonight for a business dinner and will host a public meeting tomorrow.
The time and venue of the public meeting are still to be confirmed.
Kouga is developing into an energy hub in South Africa with a number of wind farms that are under construction in the area, with one situated between Humansdorp and Jeffreys Bay.
Eskom also hopes to build a nuclear power station at Thyspunt.
However, many local residents are strongly opposed to a nuclear facility being built on the shifting dunes at Thyspunt with concerns being raised about flawed impact studies, which include basic mistakes like wrong prevailing wind directions being identified by the Eskom appointed consultants.
Other concerns include the risk of debris flow, the pumping of huge amounts of sand into the ocean, the impact on te squid industry and the resultant loss of jobs as well as the effect on tourism in the region.
Thyspunt is a highly sensitive archaeological site and the South African Heritage Council has opposed any development in the area.
