A week after the 2010 Billabong Pro and South Africa is still basking in a local’s victory in fabled waves of Supertubes. Jordy Smith has is the number one ranked surfer in the world and totally deserves all the accolades that are comeing his way.
Just in case you were caught by surprize and missed the final or were on the beach and witnessed Jordy’s semi final where for most of the heat he was behind and had to work hard to win and just want to see hoe exactly Smith does a “Superman” take a look at the following footage.
Shot at Lower Trestles during the Nike Pro, Jordy can be seen taking two waves apart including scoring a perfect 10. Check it out.

Jordy will be action surfing the O’ Neill Cold Water Classic in Cape Town, starting on 26 July. The event will be held in the freezing water off Cape Town, in some of the wildest waves on the planet.
“It’s pretty much the next best thing to winning the ASP World Title,” said Jordy of the event. “It’s not only the prize money and accolade, but the integration of exploration and adventure into surf competitions that the surfers themselves relish. To bring that feeling of searching out waves with your friends into competition is amazing,” says Smith.
